New collaborations

• Our team has recently established a R&D collaboration with Biomass Energy Systems, Inc. (BESI) (https://besiusa.com). In partnership with BESI, the team is exploring potential of developing a decentralized biomass to bioenergy system, especially for Hawaiian and pacific Islands, for converting diverse organic wastes/residues, including organic fraction of municipal solid waste and agricultural and forestry residues.

• In collaboration with a local Ag company, our team is exploring valorization of hemp residues into to bioenergy and bioproducts.
