JUNG SHICK KWON
Kwon joined our lab in 2016 as Ph.D. student. He works on fungal protein production on fermentation process wastewater.
WACHIRANON CHUENCHART (BOSS)
Wachiranon Chuenchart is a Ph.D. candidate of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (US). He received his MEng in Environmental Engineering and Management from the Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand), where he was awarded the Queen’s scholarship. He is working on applying machine learning for microaeration in anaerobic co-digestion of food waste and sewage sludge.

KYLE RAFAEL MARCELINO
Kyle is a Civil and Environmental Engineering Ph.D student. He received his MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the UH Man. He is a research assistant examining nanobubble technology and other agritech.
Research interests: nanobubbles, nanoparticles, nitrogen recovery, aquaponics
Ty is a M.S. student in the Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering department. As a former high school teacher, he enjoys interacting with students and is involved in programs such as GENE-ius Day and James Campbell High School STEM Enrichment. In his spare time, he likes to garden, fish, and read.
Research interests: bioproducts, microalgae, nanobubbles, fungi, algal-fungal interactions
Muzammil Khan is a graduate student at Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (US). He received his MS in Process Systems Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (Pakistan). His research targets on machine learning aided modeling and optimization of anaerobic digestion process.

SHREEJA LOPCHAN LAMA
Shreeja is a MS student at the Department of Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering. She received her undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering from Kathmandu University. She is working to develop an integrated NB-biochar aquaponics system.
Research interests: aquaponics, biochar, nanobubble technology, water treatment and management.

Lisa is an undergraduate student in Biological Engineering at UH Manoa. She is a MARC (Maximizing Access to Research Careers) scholar currently working on research involving Nanobubbles in microalgal culture.
Research interests: environmental sustainability, clean energy, plastic waste
Sarah is currently an undergraduate student majoring in Biological Engineering. She is working on creating a low-cost automated water quality monitoring system for aquaponic systems.
